{Katie & Jason}

Colourful and lively outdoor Jewish Wedding

Our first experience of a Jewish wedding and I don't think we could have hoped for anything better! Katie and Jay were so lovely and throughout the entire wedding we were made to feel like members of the party.

The feel was so relaxed and happy all day, and all the celebrations took place in a big field with stunning country views at North Hill Farm, Chorleywood just outside London. Something we hadn't realised before photographing this wedding was all the traditions that take place at a Jewish wedding, a lot of them are visually quite different so we particularly enjoyed this aspect of the photography. The ceremony took place outside in the sunshine, under the 'Chuppah' which represents the home that the couple will build together. It is open on four sides to show that visitors are always welcome, and both sets of parents will join them under the chuppah to show the union of two families.

Colour was a huge focus in the wedding and the way that Katie and Jay had used it throughout the decoration of the venue was really effective. The 5 bridesmaids all wore different bright coloured dresses and their bouquets of flowers to match. These colours were also tied together with metres and metres of beautiful bunting all around the marquee and paper poms hung from the ceiling which always look so sweet.

Really enjoyed our first experience of a Jewish wedding, hopefully it won't be our last!
Mazel Tov Katie & Jason!
